Acer Ferrari
With a name like Ferrari, you would
wait for these laptop computers to be the greatest
laptop on the market. It should be so blindingly high
speed laptops that you can not even see requests
executing because they are moving so extremely fast
laptops. Well, the answer is, that yes, this is a high
speed note book. There are 3 different models of the
Acer Ferrari laptops, the 1000, 4000, and 5000.
Performance wise, here is not too
much of a difference between the 3. They all hold Turion
64 X2 processors, which are AMD’s double core mobile
chipsets. The 1000’s laptops computer clocks in at 1.8
gigahertz, while the 4000 and 5000 laptops models give
the consumer an option between a 2.0 gigahertz Turion
and one that runs at 2.2 gigahertz. These are extremely
fast laptops processors, and with the Ferrari’s laptops
standard configuration of between 1 and 2 gigabytes of
Random Access Memory, the presentation should be that
much better of their laptops.
The display on the Acer Ferrari
laptops is just average, with the 1000 laptops model
calculating at 12.1 inches diagonally, and the 4000 and
5000 laptops models contain a 15.4 inch display. The
accurate test lies in the graphics hardware, and in this
arena, the Ferrari laptops does not dissatisfy. All
models of Acer laptop should a form of the ATI Radian
Express Graphics hardware, which is a very good graphics
dispensation component.
If you are looking for the next
generation of wireless system connectivity in laptops,
you would not find it at this time, except in the 1000
laptop model, oddly. Both the laptop 4000 and laptop
5000 models simply contain 802.11 b/g WLAN adapters,
while the 1000 has an 802.11 n adapter, the newest
protocol for wireless systems In Acer laptops defense,
though, very few note book have this category of adapter
built in as of yet, and it is a wonder that even the
1000 has it.
Although the 1000 laptop model is a
lightweight, extremely portable laptop computer, one
problem that it has is that the DVD combo drive is a
divide unit, requiring the consumers to take it around
as well if they want to load software, listen to melody,
or watch movie. So, what good is containing a fantastic
light laptop computer if you have to hold around another
piece of equipment anyhow? Some would argue that this is
essentially a disadvantage of laptops, since the
separate drive actually obtains up more space than a
laptops or note book with an integrated drive. Luckily,
the laptop 4000 and laptop 5000 both include slots to
plug in a modular DVD combo drive, so this difficulty is
circumvented in the advanced models.
Overall, the Acer Ferrari laptops
lives up to its name as being fantastic fast lap top
computers no Celeron processors here. It is a bit high
on the heaviness, but it more than creates up for it in
speed, connectivity of laptops, and generally styling.
